Mayor
Ryan Sorenson
Sheboygan's Worst Mayor in History
When he was elected in 2021, Ryan Sorenson promised to turn things around but instead, Sheboygan is in decline. He has bullied citizens who disagree with him, failed to act when male police officers sexually harassed a female officer, failed to fix streets, and faced multiple lawsuits. Sorenson was pictured with Queer Drag Queens in Downtown Sheboygan and stood next to a child predator that mocked the Catholic faith.
Ryan Sorenson has failed to lead the City of Sheboygan as Mayor. On more than one occasion as Mayor, Ryan Sorenson has committed violations of the City’s Ethics Policy. He supported hiring a sexual predator who was later arrested by law enforcement. We can’t trust Ryan Sorenson to put Sheboygan first — his focus is himself every time. He skipped a City Council meeting in August 2024, one of his largest responsibilities as Mayor, to attend a party in Chicago. He fought tooth and nail to boost his mayoral salary by 26%! If he is re-elected in April 2025, his salary will be $75,000. By the end of his second term, his salary will be $82,000.How has Ryan Sorenson been failure?
Streets in Disrepair
Despite Ryan Sorenson promising to fix streets, not many have been touched in his first four years. Instead, he wants to spend $77 million to "fix" our lakefront. So much for fixing our streets and lead pipes.
Businesses Closing
and Jobs Lost

Failed to Lead
the City Council
As Mayor, Ryan Sorenson is the presiding member of the Common Council. He is responsible for leading the Council but allowed three continuously absent Alderpersons to receive a taxpayer salary.
Attempting to be a Career Politician
Ryan Sorenson was eager to start collecting paychecks from the government after college. Sorenson ran for Alderperson on Sheboygan's south side and was elected in 2017. After four years of collecting a taxpayer salary, he wanted a pay increase and ran for Mayor in 2021 and defeated Mayor Mike Vandersteen. Now, Sorenson is seeking a second term and he fought hard to increase his mayoral salary by $16,000 if he is re-elected. According to The Sheboygan Press and WHBL News, Sorenson's salary will be $75,000 in 2025 and increase 3.5% every year for the reminder of his second term.
